JOB FUNCTION – REQUIREMENTS

Assist  Refinish customers with support for  proprietary software, Windows software, computers, computer peripherals and basic computer networking. Support is accomplished primarily by staffing and answering phone calls plus using remote support tools to connect into customer computers. Calls are to be handled in a timely fashion and escalated as needed for a timely resolution.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide phone coverage handling up to 20-30 calls per day but not limited to that number
2. Master proprietary software and associated utilities and tools
3. Self-motivated to learn new technologies and improve their people and technical skill set
4. Assist other Help Desk team members in resolving hardware and software customer issues
5. Update internal records with extreme details and accuracy
6. Build, and or, configure computers
7. Aid in resolving order, shipping, receiving, and customer issues as it relates to the Help Desk's support of computer related equipment
8. Analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs and offer long term solutions based on root cause analysis
9. Assist with other projects or tasks as assigned
10. Escalate concerns within a reasonable amount of time
11. Ability to lift 40 pounds
12. Steel toed shoes must be worn when engaged around the work-benches

Requires:
Bilingual English/French .
• Associate Degree in Business or Computer Science; OR equivalent work experience. Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• 1-2 years' experience using Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel and Word, working with Operating System platforms (including Windows 7, XP and Vista).
• Understanding of basic computer networking terms.
• Microsoft certifications, A+ or Network +, preferred.
• Ability to multitask with strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make quick decisions.
• Ability to control pressing situations with composed decisiveness and professionalism.
• Strong communicator both written and spoken.
• Strong team player with positive attitude.
• Ability to work with moderate supervision.
