Principal Accountabilities:
  • Lead the development of the Application Security, Physical architecture and engineering/technical design of projects. Define the Security architecture structure, ensuring that it meets the business requirements. Work with other architects to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives defined in the requirements.
  • Provide security oversight for enterprise projects ensuring alignment with security architecture direction. Provide leadership and direction to solution development and to model solutions to security best practices and guidelines.
  • Recommend new or different technologies that will enhance security while permitting development of integrated systems that operate at low cost levels. Perform new product or technology evaluations to ensure compliance with established security policies and best practices. Perform other job related duties and projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to Client Caritas policies and procedures. Supports and carries out the ACFC Mission and Values.
 
Skills:
  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture standards certification preferred
  • A minimum of 3+ years of prior experience in the Healthcare industry is needed. Knowledge of Healthcare industry business processes in one or more of the areas of – Provider Management, Health Care Member Enrollment & Claims processing, Medical Management, Pharmacy Benefits Management and Customer Service. Prefer prior expertise with Medicaid and Medicare products.
  • Prefer exposure to one or more of the Healthcare insurance industry applications like Trizetto/FACETS, McKesson Contract Manager, Visual Cactus, ZeOmega/JIVA.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in IT with responsibilities in one or more of the areas of Business Architecture, Technical Architecture, Enterprise Application Integration (SOA) and Application Development. Expertise should include. Defining solution and integration architecture on large complex business critical applications involving Mobile platforms, Portals and Legacy Applications. Defining Enterprise Application Integration centered around an Enterprise Service Bus(ESB) and involving Web Services, Message brokers, SOAP/REST services
  • Prefer prior exposure in some of the common industry platforms, stacks and programming languages like WebSphere, JBOSS, Sybase, Oracle, SQLServer, LAMP, Appian BPM, Document Management Systems, HADOOP, Java, Microsoft/.Net.  Understanding of technologies like Virtualization, Cloud and experience in addressing performance, monitoring and notification mechanisms across a diverse technology footprint.
 
Job Specific Competencies:
  • Experience working and documenting Security Standards, Guidelines, Web and Mobile security Blueprints or Reference Security architecture. Experience conducting threat modeling exercises with operational and engineering teams. Understanding of secure application Development (.Net, Java and iOS/Android applications) and Deployment
  • Extensive experience with the use of product evaluations and feasibility studies to drive the direction of solutions. Design security framework for implementing cloud solutions for Hybrid Cloud. Including Container management and orchestration
  • Knowledgeable in the design and construction of well-integrated networks, WAN, LAN, transactional, collaborative and analytical systems. Experienced in security architecture associated with network design, storage, servers and desktops, application development, and mobile device management..
  • Complete understanding of interior and exterior routing and switching protocols, DNS, DHCP, proxy functions (forward and reverse), security protocols (IPSec, SSL, etc.), time protocols (e.g. NTP), tag and label switching, real-time protocols for voice (Skinny, SIP, H.323, MGCP), etc.
  • Exposure to multiple diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments. Ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.
  • Knowledge of Business process management, workflow and integration methods (SOA). Understanding of common information architecture frameworks
