Job Overview:
Qualcomm is seeking Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to support engineering, production and microelectronic process and equipment. This role is responsible for performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the microelectronic manufacturing process. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge, advance equipment training in various area and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Work is done independently with minimal supervision All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with electronic assembly processes for SMT CCAs as well as microelectronic assembly processes for MCMs (Multi-chip module) and Hybrids. The hands-on experience on flip chip assembly, compression molding and transfer molding, underfill process, die attach, wire bonding process are preferred. Experience with SMT equipment and process, Stencil & Screen Printing and Solder re-flow equipment and processes. Good communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to peers, management and customers. Demonstrated ability to find root cause of manufacturing process problems, workmanship defects and test failures. Ability to utilize mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Ability to understand maintenance manuals and engineering sketches
Preferred Qualifications:
AA degree in electronics technology or equivalent training and experience, such as military training Preferred Additional Skills: PLC programming, AutoCAD, tooling design, High Mix-Low Vol experience is a plus.
Education:
Required: Associate's, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
