Planner/ Inventory Coordinator

Position Summary

The Planner/ Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory to meet internal and external customer requirements and delivery. They will manage demand from multiple project requirements and commercial customers requiring lot matched products. Analyze orders and coordinate customer delivery requirements with Supply Planners, DRP Planners and the Distribution Center.

The incumbent encounters varying work situations, involving moderate complexity, considerable independent judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. The incumbent must demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers. Having initiative and organization skills are extremely valuable to ensure a smooth office operation. The incumbent May determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Manages inventory levels, delivery schedules and availability of selected items.
Acts on order releases, assuring customer orders are correct before distribution center ships from E1 and SAP.
Work closely with Demand Planning on internal business requirements and Commercial demand.
Receives and reviews sales orders and advises on availability date to Demand Planning, Shipping or Customer Service teams.
Daily and backorder review and management.
Quarterly E&O for reserves.
Interfaces with project managers, planning personnel, customer service and distribution on supply issues.
Participate in Global operating mechanisms to improve supply chain.
Provides input and recommendations in improving supply chain strategies, policies and practices to achieve Best-in-Class Supply Chain Management.
Participates in problem resolution activities, when required, to insure timely deliveries to / from global locations to customers. Support back-order reduction efforts.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

3-5 years of relevant purchasing or planning experience.
A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or other business management discipline or related field.
Strong analytical skills, combined with practical business acumen.
In-Depth knowledge of planning software (MRP).
Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain.
Demonstrated ability in building relationships across various functional teams.
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability in working well in a global organization within Operations and with external clients.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from manager.
Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements

APICS certification
Relevant experience in the Life Science or Medical Device industry.
