Details: Our client, a national financial leader, is looking for a Program Leader / Manager with a proven track record of several projects implemented within scope, timeline and cost. In this role, you will hold resources accountable for delivering on the project plan, including providing coaching and mentoring of resources across a broad range of business functions as well as vendors and internal technology deliverables.

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience managing large business solutions (with a technology component) from start to finish in a financial company
  • Experience identifying risks and defining mitigation plans
  • Strong project planning experience across a broad range of business units and work components
  • Experience defining, estimating and scheduling project tasks and interdependencies to achieve the scope through a clearly defined project plan/work breakdown structure
  • Experience delivering projects within scope, timeline and cost
  • Experience identifying and managing the critical path of big and small project efforts
  • Understanding of the systems development life cycle and project implementation methodologies
  • Knowledge of both the waterfall and agile implementation methodologies

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong business knowledge of financial services and products
  • Financial industry experience
  • Driver PM with ability to make things happen
  • Self-starter that can quickly get up to speed with a new project challenge and bring structure and organization from day
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Hold resources accountable for delivering on the project plan, including providing coaching and mentoring of resources across a broad range of business functions as well as vendors and internal technology deliverables.
  • Adhere to the approved project methodology for project management and maintains project artifacts and records.
  • Identify and track key measures of success for the project.
  • Provide clear concise project communication (status, meeting agenda, meeting notes) for different audiences from core teams to owner teams to steering committee members.
  • Provide internal and external stakeholder communications and progress reports that effectively outline the project status, risks, issues and action plans to ensure project success.
  • Analyze project performance, creating cost benefit analysis and identifying optimal solutions that minimize the negative impact and tradeoffs.
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure project success and facilitating project change requests.
  • Escalate to the Steering Committee/Project Sponsor risks and issues with potential significant impact.
  • Work effectively with business partners, vendors, technology, and project management staff to develop the project agenda and ensure agreement/adoption of project objectives/deliverables by all affected constituencies.
  • Transition project into daily business operations at the end of the project
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) providing oversight over all the aspects of the project (Business and User requirements gathering; technology work efforts; advisor and client communication and training efforts as well as operational readiness and implementation work efforts)
  • Ensure the company project controls are followed.
  • Manage the delivery of the end-to end business solution (which the project manager will be managing) will include technology, communication/training to the end-users, service delivery for client/advisor calls/service, legal and compliance aspects of the project etc.
  • Facilitate cross project meetings and facilitation of project level Steering and Leader meetings.
