Job Description:
Position Overview:
Global Engineering Projects is seeking ServiceNow Tester who is task oriented, driven to succeed and are team players.
Organizational skills, adaptability and attention to detail will be key attributes necessary in navigating overlapping release schedules of both proprietary and open-source products based on complex concepts.
The ideal candidate has experience in the software development life cycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, procedures, test cases, test execution and reporting.
A strong grasp of IT Service Management, ITSM and Portal tools and the ITIL framework is added advantage.
Members of the test team may also be required take up writing scripts and code for testing or application enhancements – knowledge and experience of scripting and/or coding in J2EE and/or .NET framework is a plus.
Review of software requirements
Preparation/review of test plans/Strategy
Preparation/review of test cases
Execution of tests (regression testing, functional testing - white-box/black-box, performance testing)
Reporting of defects
Preparation of test reports
Some scripting and coding as necessary
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor / Master of Engineering (B.E / M.E) or equivalent
6 to 9 Years of experience in Testing (Manual & Automation)
In-depth knowledge and experience in Testing Methodologies and Best Practices
Good Understanding of the n- tier architectures of JAVA/J2EE and .Net applications.
Good understanding Quality processes - CMMi
Very good communication skills
Guiding/Mentoring the Junior members in Testing
Responsible for testing relating deliverables – SOW, Test Plan, Metrics, summary reports
Experience in Test Case creation, execution and Defect Management (ClearQuest, TFS, Jira)
Experience in any of the Test Management tools (SCTM, Client - Quality Center, Rational, , Silk Central)
Experience in Performance Test tool (JMeter, Silk Performer)
Experience in Requirements Management Tool (RRC)
Experience in UI Automation tools (Silktest)
Experience in Monitoring tools (Nagios, Riverbed, AppDynamics)
Experience in Relational databases and data mapping
Knowledge of ITIL Foundation
Technology Experience:
Experience in several of following specific technology areas:
ServiceNow, Atrium, AIE, AI, DSO, Mid-Tier, ITSM Suite (including RKM, SLM, FTS, etc), HA/Load Balanced solutions, Meta-Update, JAVA plugins, BMC ITSM integration techniques, Remedy APIs, AR log analysis, multi-tenant and single-tenant solutions, virtualization (VMware, Azure, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc.), infrastructure security, Remedy/ITSM monitoring techniques, BMC Dashboards and Analytics products.
Experience in several of following specific technology areas: Integration Tools, webMethods (Integration Server 9.x, Designer 9.x), Informatica (PowerCenter, PowerExchange, DX/DT, MFT 9.x), MSMQ, ActiveMQ, ITIL SIES, EDI, ETL, FTP, MS SQL Server, Oracle, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy/ITSM, Virtualization (VMware, Azure, Hyper-V, Citrix, etc.), Infrastructure security, Load balancers (concepts), MS Clustering, IIS, Apache Tomcat, SOAP, REST.
Experience in several of following specific technology areas: JavaScript, Java/J2EE, HTML5, CSS, Java Portlet API,.Net, ASP, IIS; SQL scripting (T-SQL), SSIS, SSRS & SSAS, applications (Liferay Portal, Apache, Presto Mashup, PMG Service Catalog, PureShare Dashboards)
