Details: As a member of Client's Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), the Project Manager drives and manages the successful delivery of Human Resources' (HR) Workday HCM implementation. The HR function is executing a series of integration-related projects that includes the transition of CR Bard associates from legacy HR systems to Workday HCM. These projects are highly integrated and will required interaction across large teams of associates and consultants. The Project Manager will leverage a range of best practice project methodologies and technologies to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations including scope, performance to budget, timeline requirements, and business readiness. The Project Manager ensures stakeholder engagement and satisfaction, anticipates, tracks, manages, and communicates changes, risks, and mitigation actions associated with project delivery, and works collaboratively with a wide range of resources and functions. He/She contributes to the development of the EPMO project management body of knowledge and skills development at Client.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a multi-level work breakdown structure that covers multiple releases of Workday HCM
  • Identify interdependencies within the Workday HCM work breakdown structure
  • Integrate with other HR project managers to identify integration points and interdependencies across HR multiple projects
  • Maintain project charter in alignment with sponsor and stakeholder objectives, enterprise and HR priorities and goal, ensure acceptance of charter by steering committee/sponsor(s)
  • Follow project governance framework and maintain status scorecards in accordance with EPMO best practices
  • Document project assumptions and constraints and ensure baseline project plan is developed in accordance with these.
  • Develop project plan and resource needs, resource load plan, and work with management to assign/obtain needed resources for project success.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis, business impact analysis, and plan engagement, communications, and training activities to ensure effective communication and adoption throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure completion of change analysis of proposed end to end processes to current state and propose adoption strategies
  • Identify, manage, and escalate issues and risks to the HR Program Management Office and Sponsors/Stakeholders and assist with closure and/or mitigation using EPMO templates and practices
  • Lead the integration of the different work streams to produce congruent business solutions that deliver superlative capability resulting in positive impact to the business
  • Lead resources assigned through various project lifecycle phases, build team morale, ensure various resources understand their roles and responsibilities and assist with knowledge transfer as needed
  • Review project deliverables and verify that subject matter experts have validated and any open issues have been resolved prior to passing governance phase gates
  • Lead the facilitation of workshops to elicit requirements and current state information or to explain and obtain feedback on proposed design solution
  • Work with business subject matter experts/process owners and other key stakeholders to review and sign-off deliverables
  • Identify and track items to be governed by the change control process and escalate to PMO as needed
  • Articulate what information is needed to make process and configuration decisions and facilitate the collection of such information
  • Ensure knowledge transfer of system design and configuration to ongoing production support staff and adequacy of post-go-live support plan and resources
  • Successfully scales and tailors project delivery approach to meet the needs of the specific project, taking into account budget, complexity, schedule and risk factors
  • Close project activities including documenting and communicating lessons learned, updates to project plans and templates, and archiving of project records and deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and required

Education, Experience and Skills Requirement:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years Project / Program Management experience
  • Business Integration or large/complex program implementation experience
  • Three to Five (3-5) years' proven ability to deliver successful system implementations as a senior technical project manager implementing complex SDLC projects, preferably in an FDA regulated, Fortune 100 global company with operations in at least two of the following: Europe, Greater Asia, Latin America

Preferred: Two to Three (2-3) years' experience specifically related to a full range of HR services, systems, and processes including Performance Management, Compensation Planning/Administration, Talent Management, Payroll, and M&A
  • One (1) years' experience specifically related to Workday HCM projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Demonstrated abilities in project management as follows:
  • Develop a multi-level work breakdown structure that covers multiple major release cycles
  • Identify risks, develop risk mitigation plans and effectively manage issues to resolution
  • Gain and maintain the trust and support of team members and leadership
  • Strong client relationship and team building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team leadership of more than 20 individuals consisting of dedicated and non-dedicated IT, end user and vendor resources, from diverse backgrounds and locales
  • Work independently, remaining agile and flexible in a challenging environment and managing multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in SDLC methodology and systems change management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint and Visio required
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project required
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management and Communications preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
