TITLE :               E/U Computer Support Analyst, Sr.
LOCATION:      Aiken, SC, 29803

Duration:          Contract to Hire

Provide senior technical expertise for Parsons Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) federal project with responsibilities related end user support, with key support for a risk mitigation culture/approach. These specific responsibilities will include:
  • Leverage existing processes and tools for problem resolution of desktop/end point applications, end user support within SLA and consistent with SWPF Project operations and cyber program policies, and Parsons corporate guidelines for image, asset management and disposal guidance.
  • Facilitate manual of local, scheduled and out-of-cycle vulnerability scanning to detect vulnerabilities within the boundary across applications, infrastructure (servers, network devices, etc.) and end user workstations.
  • Respond to Incident Response and Contingency Management events.
  • Comprehensive entry of results/problem ticket update/close record for reference & to develop accurate and actionable remediation plans for site personnel to execute remediation activities.
  • Maintain required technical training and certifications commensurate with IT/Cyber role/responsibilities.
  • 2-4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Cybersecurity (or related curriculum) 5-8 years of diversified experience working in multifaceted individual performer/formal and informal leadership roles across systems administration and Cybersecurity.
  • Must have exceptional technical reasoning skills with the ability to synthesize multiple data points/risk and performance behavior, risk reporting and close out.
  • Individuals with a 2-year degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience can be considered. Those candidates without a degree will require over 10 years of relevant experience for consideration.
  • Technical certifications are desired: including security certification (MCP/MCSE, Security+, GIAC, CEH, MCTS: Active Directory Confirg, SANS 20 Critical and Network Infrastructure Config, etc.).
  • Experience administering vulnerability scanning technologies including Tenable Nessus SecurityCenter and Rapid7 Nexpose.
  • Problem resolution experience through analysis and vendor research, segmentation, knowledge of windows registry and the OSI layer.
  • Has exceptional knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, processes, methodologies, compliance and best practices which include printers, cabling, networking, IP telephony,etc.
  • Proven formal and informal leadership experience.
  • Ability to gain & integrate cyber security knowledge / skills for proficiency and compliance (for various protocols, applications, Active Directory, ITIL, VMWare, degaussing tools, Antivirus and encryption tools; MCTS: Active Directory Confirg and Network Infrastructure Config).
  • Understanding of Infrastructure components and protocols and how they fit into boundary and enterprise architecture. This may include a combination of the following elements:network, various protocols and vendor operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
  • Written and oral communication skills appropriate for the position, including the ability to write basic documents, interface with all levels of management.
  • Run/analyze scans to detect remediate malware, etc. to facilitate risk mitigation via task management leveraging project level IT/Cyber team members.
  • Document lessons learned, mentor core IS End User Computing (EUC) re: vulnerability & patch management processes.
  • Apply critical thinking.
  • Support audits and corrective actions pre and post assessment (internal, corporate, DOE Headquarters and DOE SRS, etc.)
