Assist with Tax and Insurance escrow recordkeeping. Steps include but not limited to the following: o Maintaining a log of outstanding tax bills o Maintain prompt payment listing of tax bills o Ensure that all invoices are appropriate for each loan escrow o Guard against duplicate payments o Ensure validity of tax payments o Analysis of each escrow account to insure the monthly deposits will cover payments going forward while maintaining the required minimum balance in each escrow account ¿ Process check requests relating to the SONYMA Remodel New York Program o Ensure that checks are drawn in accordance with authorized amounts o Maintain log of checks paid o Ensure that checks are properly entered in the bank's Positive Pay System o Process checks after checks are drawn (mail, inform all parties of check payment etc.) ¿ Assist in the daily mortgage receipt process ¿ Serve as back up on travel voucher processing ¿ Sort and distribute daily mail. Assist with filing and office cleanup in preparation for move. ¿ Assist supervisors or other members of the Accounting Department in any appropriate manner in the dayto-day operations of the Department
QUALIFICATIONS:
¿ Minimum Associates degree in Accounting ¿ Ability to work under pressure ¿ Good verbal and written skills ¿ Strong computer skills including Excel and Word ¿ Ability to prioritize & multi task ¿ Reliable, detail oriented, flexible, team player ¿ Willingness to learn new technology
