Job Description:
  • Analyzing business applications requirements for functional areas such as service, sales, quoting and operations to recommend system changes and enhancements thru writing code, testing and debugging software applications. Translate business requirements and specifications into system and application designs.
  • Respond and resolve trouble ticket issues directly related to bug fixes in code that impede end users with accessing and utilizing the business software applications.
  • This person will execute the design, implementation, and support of an internal IT infrastructure and applications support for onsite and remote users within a medium-sized organization, working in conjunction with the Corporate IT Department.
  • Writes code and unit tests to implement designs of new features and improvements. Review software requirements and write design documentation where assigned which clearly define what is to be produced with little or no ambiguity. Contribute to and review user documentation. Works with others to create and validate software design and provides peer review of design and code.
  • Makes code modifications without introducing new problems into the environment at the time application is released to customer by following good design and coding practices.
  • Reviews issues/support calls as assigned and provide management with feedback for proper prioritization. Drive investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution of escalated customer complaints as needed.
  • Writes code for integration with other applications like JDE, Data Warehouse, and in-house applications.
  • Responsible for the overall administration, maintenance, and health of key internal Business Applications. Provides timely software updates and refreshes to the production, staging, and development environments.
  • Occasionally Leads and Participates in Requirement Gathering in order to lead Project implementation. Initiate and coordinate continuous improvement activities for self and other associates. Works with limited guidance in the delivery of highly complex solutions.
  • Provides timely information and accurate status for individual as well as team tasks via consistent status reports, effective and timely customer, technical support, and implementation communications, accurate project schedules/milestone reporting, and consistent and effective communications with management and/or project leaders. Communicates in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Mandatory Skills:
  • Strong IT, application, and configuration knowledge and skill in the design, software development and configuration of information and communications systems.
  • Applicant must have good communication and documentation skills with the ability to write accurate documents and reports and communicate status at various levels of the organization.
  • Experience developing and implementing software configuration management, release plans, procedures and processes.
  • Applicant must possess the ability to work effectively with others in the organization outside their direct supervision to accomplish requested tasks. Provides timely information and accurate status and schedules to the team.
  • Maintains consistent and effective communications with manager and/or project/team lead.
  • Must have 4-5 years of IT software development experience and application support.
  • Must have experience with N-tiered software system.
  • Must have experience with JavaScript and C#.
  • Must have experience with SQL Server and its reporting utilities.
  • Must have experience supporting production issues.
  • Must have a strong ability to work in a team environment while possessing the ability to remain focused when working alone on a project.
  • Must know how to investigate problems and develop solutions independently.
  • Must have good communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Prefer experience with MS Dynamics CRM and QuoteWerks or equivalent quoting tool.
  • Prefer experience in configuring and installing an application.
  • Prefer healthcare, medical devices, or clinical experience.
  • Prefer Microsoft Server Certified or equivalent professional experience.
