Job Overview:
Our ASIC design automation team is currently seeking senior front-end design automation engineer who will involve in R&D, deployment, operation and support of next generation front-end ASIC EDA tools, flows and methodologies in the areas of SoC integration and handoffs (RTL generation, linting, CDC, ), Chip implementation and analysis (synthesis, STA, ), End-to-end UPF-based power intent tools/flows/methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
R&D, deployment, operation and support of our front-end ASIC EDA design tools, flows/methodology, software application framework, and related infrastructure to QCT design center.
Some travel between design centers may be required

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior SoC and/or core level ASIC design experience in design integration, IP packaging/handoff, clock, interrupt, NOC, ..., is a plus
* Experience in front-end ASIC EDA design flow and methodology from system level, RTL to netlist (physical) across different domains including RTL design, synthesis, DFT, STA, etc.
* Experience in front-end ASIC design analysis tasks and related data formats including timing, power, area, system performance, SDC, VCD, FSDB, SAIF, UCDB, UPF/CPF, etc.
* Familiar with commonly used hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL and System Verilog
* Strong knowledge in EDA flow integration, scripting and related data formats via TCL, Perl, Python, Makefile, SH/CSH, advanced Unix/Linux programming, etc.
* Web development experience with JavaScript is a plus
* Experience/knowledge on JSON, YAML data format and SQL/NoSQL database
* Familiar with Design management systems including DesignSync, ClearCase, SVN/Perforce
* Good knowledge in software programming, data structures and algorithms

MS/Ph.D. in the field of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of industry is preferred, or BS required with at least 5+ years of experience
