Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: CPCS or CPMSM
Minimum Experience: 3 years
Charting Experience Required: none required
Required Skillset: Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (Client) credentialing standards.
Serves as the subject matter expert for the credentialing standards of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) and National
Coordinates all credentialing activities of the Credentialing Verification Office. Acts as a liaison between the Medical Staff Offices and the providers and allied health providers Establishes and maintains good communication and rapport with providers and allied health professionals. Develops positive working relationships required to accomplish short and long range goals.
Monitors and assesses for compliance issues and implements activities related to credentialing and privileging. Is committed to
and is accountable for providing quality service to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Demonstrates leadership skills by providing expertise in the area of credentialing and privileging. Assists in the coordination of the daily activities of the department and responds quickly to resolve operational situations that arise that are related to regulatory compliance. Coordinates programs and projects that meet multiple department and/or division needs
