Python Architect

Client has an opening for a Python Architect to support the growing demand for our services. This role will sit in our Windsor, CT location full time. Some local travel to client locations may be required on occasion.


Qualifications you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS/CS or similar discipline with formal software engineering coursework, or in lieu of a formal degree 4 years professional software development experience and at least 2 professional certifications (eg, MCSE, PMP, TOGAF)
  • 5-10+ years' experience developing web-based applications at the enterprise level
  • Demonstrated track record of individual growth, academically and/or professionally
  • Strong desire to learn new things and venture into uncharted territory


Purpose of the role:
  • As a Virtusa Architect, you will be responsible for developing robust software that solves business problems. You will be responsible for thinking, collaborating ideas for solutions with both peer and junior engineers, selecting and executing on the approved design. A successful candidate will have a sense of pride in ownership in their work and strive to produce the highest quality deliverables and takes responsibility to ensure the project is successful.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for both writing new code, servicing/troubleshooting existing code, and assisting senior technical leadership with designs and solutions. Creating Standard Work, documentation, QA test plans, and other supporting activities will be required.
