Engineering Operations Manger

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing QCT SW Operations management support and leadership across several chipset programs. The position will consist of: Managing the hardware demand for the QCT Software organization through efficient collaboration and coordination across multiple development sites and cross-functional departments. Capturing demand from all team leads, provide a consolidated report and analytical justification for budget approval. Analyzing supply to identify shortages and broadcast notifications to engineering leads. Generating hardware related reports that are posted on an internal MS Sharepoint website. Developing excel scripts that automate the consolidation of demand, generate reports, and publish accurate dashboards on a MS Sharepoint site. Identifying process improvements and implement feature automation enhancements in the Excel Tools using functions such as Index/Match, SUMIFS, VLookup, and conditions. Developing program indicators to push information to internal teams and management. Managing, tracking and mitigating resource planning across multiple targets. Understanding project constraints, consolidate these challenges and then recommend solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 2 years of project/program management experience Experience with Excel commands ( vlookup, index/match, sumifs, logic statements and/or pivot tables) and Excel Macros Excellent communication, negotiation, and motivation skills Must function self-sufficiently with little direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience in either SW or HW engineering 4+ years of Technical Project/Program Management Ability to influence senior business managers on key project goals setting Evidence of ability to apply critical thinking and interpersonal skills to practical situations Capable of customizing VBA macros to automate the execution of operational tasks Experience managing budgets and/or supply chain planning Operations experience in the technical industry
Education:
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering Preferred: Masters Degree (MBA acceptable if Bachelor requirements met) or equivalent experience
