Under general supervision, performs non-routine visual, mechanical, functional, dimensional or electrical inspection of a variety of products in the production assembly process, incoming through final system assembly and shipping. Performs inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment. Determines acceptability, identifies and recommends disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures. Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described below.
• Inspects a variety of electrical, electronic and electromechanical items using general inspection equipment to ensure quality levels and accuracy to contract requirements.
• Approves or rejects items using simple schematics, blueprints, breakdown sheets, government and company specifications.

• Identifies causes of rejects and records test data and other documentation according to established inspection procedures.

• Supports other inspection/audit functions as required by performing visual inspection of moderately complex electro/mechanical assemblies to blueprints, ECO's and established written procedures.
Technical, Trade, or vocational high school graduate or equivalent (i.e. Military schooling). Requires two (2) to three (3) years inspection experience with working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments, specification interpretation and quality control terminology.

Must be knowledgeable of inspection equipment including micrometers, veriner calipers, height gauges and dial indicators, oscilloscope, multimeter, component testers and the like. Ability to interpret and use blueprints, mil specs, engineering drawings, material lists and inspection standards. Must be able to lift thirty-five (35) pounds unaided.
