he Global Services Education and Training Cytotechnologist Specialist is a subject matter expert in Cytology scientific laboratory practices and also serves the organization as an instructor in Client Diagnostic Systems Women’s Health and Cancer (WH&C). The cytotechnologists will serve as the clinical laboratory specialist who concentrates in detecting the presence or absence of disease at the cellular level. They identify cancerous and precancerous cells as well as signs of infection. They are experts in handling biological samples, preparing slides, and observing small changes under a microscope. They know how to use special dyes to make particular markers show (if they are indeed present). Besides the cytology specialty this professional will deliver training in Client equipment Applications and Technical Training. In the training function, this professional will be responsible for performing training cytology training, performing needs assessments, delivering curriculum and learning materials and managing all phases of training interventions within Women’s Health and Cancer.


Serve as a cytology specialist in Client Women’s Health and Cancer vertical Facilitate WH&C training sessions in BDDS for customers, applications specialists, field service engineers, remote service and contractors) professionals globally. Obtain qualification in the Client Global Instructor Certification and Qualification Program Translate requirements into training offerings/solutions that will enhance customers and Client Associates performance in WH&C Customize training materials to enhance student learning Direct structured learning experiences and monitor performance results Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes Participate in services escalations and development service bulletins and notices Participate in core or extended core teams, as required, for WH&C New Products

Behavioral Skills:

Cytotechnologist: Specialist in detecting the presence or absence of disease at the cellular level Collects and utilizes appropriate preparation, processing and evaluation procedures for all specimens, including maintaining appropriate records for specimens, slides and data conforming to all state and federal guidelines for good laboratory practices. Accurately evaluates specimens from different anatomic sites for interpretation utilizing appropriate criteria and upholds established performance standards. Identify cancerous and precancerous cells as well as signs of infection. Produces and reports accurate, reliable lab test results in time frames that contribute to effective patient care. Performs and evaluates established quality control procedures and maintenance. Implements corrective action when indicated. Responds to questions and inquiries from customers and follows through to ensure a satisfactory outcome. Observes established safety guidelines and maintains cleanliness of the laboratory. Minimizes waste with efficient use of reagents, controls, supplies and time. Expertise in handling biological samples, preparing slides, and observing small changes under a microscope. Classroom Management – Maintain oversight and coordination of classroom environment Safety – Promote safety through Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and closely follow Client Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures. Customer Focus – anticipates needs of internal and external customers and delivers solutions to improve image and loyalty


Required: Cytology certification and 2-3 years’ experience is required Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, Training, HR or related field/experience. 2 or more years’ experience with education training and delivery in medical diagnostic systems 3 or more years of project leadership and management 5 or more years’ experience implementing projects within a cross functional organization highly desired. Adequate knowledge of learning management software Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques Sound decision making and organizational skills Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences


Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and reach. Ability to view computer monitor and use keyboard for prolonged period of time Ability to sit for prolonged period of time, handling, fingering, listening, near vision, midrange vision in connection with performing essential functions. Some global travel maybe required (30%)
