POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for planning, writing, and delivering internal and external marketing communications and business development support materials for the Infrastructure business unit. Works with clients' MarCom, Core Services team, and others to prepare various communications, ensuring appropriate company voice and branding, while strategically positioning clients for new business, client relationship enhancement, and standing as an employer of choice. Proofreads and/or edits drafts of documents created by others for spelling, grammar, clarity of communications, and appropriate voice and branding elements. The incumbent regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment, and serves as a senior back-up resource for Infrastructure's Marketing-Competitive Intelligence leader.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and serves as an advisor on strategic marketing communications plans for assigned key markets in collaboration with business development leaders.

Researches and writes collateral materials, including brochures, flyers, e cards, and videos. Coordinates with Infrastructure's Core Services team to prepare artwork and ensure timely printing and delivery of these materials.

Makes recommendations for collateral construction and design within the client brand to meet the business need and audience.

Facilitates the obtaining and archiving of new photography (and permissions) as well as the posting of appropriate collateral on client.com. May update pages on client.com via a content management system.

Tracking project win/milestone status, and working with designated project managers and business development personnel, researches and writes press releases, as well as posts for social media, the corporation's intranet (PWeb), the employee social portal (TheHub), and clients' Weekly Bulletin e-newsletter.

Researches and writes a variety of content marketing pieces, including short listings for conferences and award entries, magazine articles, and opinion pieces. Obtains appropriate approvals from project leaders/division managers, corporate MarCom, and client' editing team.

Composes internal memos and emails for corporate leadership.

Develops PowerPoint presentations for corporate and business development leadership and/or for business development support.

Prepares monthly reports of marketing activity for the Infrastructure business unit.

Provides guidance and support to marketing team members, as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

This position requires a 4-year degree in Marketing, English, or Journalism, (or related field), and 5+ years of related work experience, including at least 5 years of recent experience in marketing. Significant editing and writing experience is mandatory. Exposure to technical writing related to the engineering field is preferred.
