Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Science and Technology Process Technician will be part of a diverse team of scientists, engineers and technicians focused on the execution of mammalian and microbial fermentation and purification processes at bench scale to support of clients's commercial products portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities will include set up, execution, and evaluation of non-GMP unit operations such as bioreactors, fermenters centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, ultrafiltration/diafiltration and final filtration.
Additional responsibilities will include executing reactor prep, aseptic sampling, parts and systems set up and cleaning, inventory management, documentation, sample generation and tracking, and data entry/evaluation.

Basic Qualifications
HS diploma, Associates Degree or Certificate in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or equivalent.
Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment including pH meters, pumps, and pressure monitoring equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a Bioprocess Plant or Commercial Manufacturing setting and knowledge of cell culture and or purification processing techniques is strongly desired.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Operational knowledge of computerized systems.
Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (bioprocess or chemical process industry). Demonstrated capability to work as a team member in a matrix environment.

Good mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to interface with automated systems
Dedication to maintaining and operating in a safe work environment
Ability to work independently and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
Understanding of continuous improvement tools (LEAN/Six Sigma, 5S, etc)
Must be capable of generating documents utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
