Senior / Staff Technical Account Manager

Location: San Diego, California
 the Technical Account Manager (TAM) oversees the customers (OEM/ODM) product portfolio and manages the technical aspects of the components (hardware and software) that are designed into the customers projects.
You will be required to:
1.support the sales account manager by leading the management of the technical relationships between the customer and Qualcomms business units
2.provide overall project management for the customer project from concept through mass production
3.for projects under development: drive customer issues to resolution, mitigate escalations and set expectations with the customer by collaborating with engineering on a daily basis
4.for projects under evaluation: engage with the customer by organizing trainings, reviewing the design concept, gathering project requirements, and analyzing the gaps & risk involved in product commercialization
5.align customer milestones with Qualcomms hardware and software deliverable timeline by collaborating with product and program management
6.review the customer portfolio on a monthly basis, prioritize customer projects and provide justification for technical support resource allocation
7. Work with internal program, product and technology teams, bringing and representing customer project requirements.


Minimum Qualifications:
1. 6+ years wireless or auto electronics industry experience.
2. 3+ years of managing wireless technology related large scale customer projects and relationships 3.Ability
to proactively manage customer expectations to influence customer relations and design decisions 4.Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to a range of audiences
5. Good wireless/embedded/SW/HW technical skills for initial triage of customer project issues and management


Preferred Qualifications:
1.Program Manager, managing complex technical projects in a SW environment
2.Experience leading and directing engineers that are in independent functional organizations.
3. Experience in development/support/commercialization of complex wireless/embedded/SW/HW systems


Education:
Required: Bachelor's, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
