Oracle Business Analyst

Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota
This position, reporting directly to the IT Manager of Worldwide Business Systems is responsible for the suggestion, implementation and support of the business applications used to support business functions throughout our client's environment. This includes acting as a liaison between IT and internal business customers.

  • Analyze current process and procedures
  • Understand business processes and align IT solutions.
  • Define and document system requirements related to financial accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets.
  • Design system and process improvements from a user perspective focusing on usability, system integration, and infrastructure impact
  • Improving the tools, techniques, and processes used to develop efficient, accurate, and meaningful standard operations, specifically related to reporting.
  • Develop and support the use of Oracle applications.
  • Provide hands-on technical and functional support.
  • Play active role in IT and business projects
  • Provide functional expertise to meet project deadlines
  • Assess feasibility of possible solutions. Ensure quality of personal work.
  • Participate in unit and system testing
  • Assure end solutions meet original requirements and assists in the deployment and sustainment of both new processes and new systems.
  • Work with and/or coordinate additional resources for efficient implementation of a given project.
  • Develop training programs.

Education & Job Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related quantitative field, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related quantitative field plus 5 years post Bachelor's progressive experience in the field.
  • One year of end-user training skills required.
  • Prior experience with Ad Hoc query tools desired, SQL Navigator and Oracle Client preferred.

  • Planning and prioritizing
  • Must have a working knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
  • General knowledge of SQL preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products a plus.
