Data And Integration Engineer

Job Description: The Informatica and PL/SQL developer works effectively across the entire software development life cycle as a full stack developer.  This includes requirements definition, architecting, prototyping, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment, and support of the day-to-day operation of production systems. This person is expected to collaborate with technical staff, management, and business operations staff throughout all phases of the software development life cycle in order to deliver working solutions to complex business problems on time and on budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participates in and may direct the analysis of efficient, cost-effective application solutions supporting client business processes and functional requirements.
  • Performs software coding, testing, debugging, documentation and installation tasks for processes in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards.
  • Analyzes business processes in order to define functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Guides, formulates, contributes to, and directs task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities.
  • Participates in and may direct problem definition and resolution activities.
  • Coordinates with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g., database development, job scheduling, network support, help desk orientation, client implementation readiness, etc.).
  • May conduct client interviews to perform analysis of client business processes and functional requirements. Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.
  • Provides on-call support. May coordinate on-call response efforts as assigned.
Work Environment / Physical Demands: General office environment where the noise level is usually moderate (computers, phones, fax machines operating). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Typing on a keyboard is required. Close vision abilities are required (working at a PC or reading work related documents).
 
Requirements/Certifications (Right to Hire):
  • Must have ETL experience in either Informatica or Snaplogic (At least 3-5 years experience)
  • Must have PL/SQL or Microsoft SQL experience
  • Healthcare Knowledge - Desirable

Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming or other technical field. Equivalent related field experience will be considered.
  • 4+ years of work experience in a professional software development position primarily in an ETL development and data integration capacity.
  • Excellent analytical and logical programming skills with a good understanding at the conceptual level and possess excellent presentation, interpersonal skills with a strong desire to achieve specified goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience in proposal and presentation creation.
  • Proficient in PERL and UNIX/Korn shell scripting.
  • Proficient in PL/SQL programming (packages, stored procedures and functions) and experience using TOAD or SQL Developer software.
  • Extensive experience in creation and maintenance of database objects like tables, views, materialized views, indexes, constraints, primary keys, sequences, synonyms and database links.
  • Experienced in creating Transformations and Mappings using Informatica Designer and processing tasks using Workflow Manager to move data from multiple sources into targets.
  • Experienced in performance tuning of targets, sources, mappings and sessions.
  • Extensively worked on Informatica Designer Components - Source Analyzer, Warehousing Designer, Transformations Developer, Mapplet Metadata and Mapping Designer.
  • Strong experience on Workflow Manager Tools - Task Developer, Workflow and Worklet Designer.
  • Experienced in integration of various data sources like Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server into staging areas.
  • Comfortable with, and be able to thrive in, a fun, hardworking, ever-changing, and self-driven environment.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment.
Good to Have - Requirements
  • Exposure to working in an agile software development setting (Scrum or KanBan).
  • Working knowledge of creating RESTful API's.
  • Exposure to Amazon Web Services.
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion
