Position Description:

 Working under the general supervision of the site nurse, and in accordance with Pennsylvania laws and Kimberly-Clark standards, perform a broad range of administrative and clinical duties. Qualifications and Experience:
1. Medical Assistant Degree/Diploma/Certification from an accredited program
2. Minimum Certifications: • CPR (BLS for Healthcare Provider level) • Basic First-Aid • CAOHC- Occupational Hearing Conservation certification • NIOSH-approved Spirometry training
3. Minimum 2 years Occupational Health experience in an industrial setting strongly preferred
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
5. Computer proficiency and experience with Windows-based software suite.
Job Responsibilities:

Perform duties related to a comprehensive workplace medical clinic that includes surveillance programs, injury and illness prevention, triage and/or treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, wellness initiatives, and providing FMLA and Workers’ Compensation information. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Administration Performing basic administrative skills (e.g. generate reports, process mail, and miscellaneous other tasks including prioritization of work flow and appropriate escalation of issues) Handling telephone calls and writing correspondence Serving as a liaison between the site nurse and other individuals (e.g. assisting employees by providing absence or return to work forms and referral to HR Contact Center or Benefits Center, as appropriate, to report Leave of Absence) Scheduling and receiving patients Reviewing Return-to-Work notices for accuracy and completeness Assist nurse with managing clinic budget Maintenance and calibration of equipment and ordering and stocking supplies for the clinic Clinical Preparing and maintaining electronic medical records in accordance with HIPPA standards Reviewing employee Comprehensive Medical Evaluation Questionnaire Clearance forms Asepsis and infection control Taking patient histories and vital signs Performing first aid and CPR Assisting the site nurse with examinations and treatments Collecting and processing specimens Performing selected diagnostic tests (e.g. audiometric testing, spirometry testing and respirator fit testing, vision screening) Develop and maintain knowledge of CLIENT Occupational Health policies and procedures This position is based at the CLIENT Chester location.
