Contract Administrator (URGENT)
Ref No.: 18-05434
Location: Huntsville, Alabama

The Contract Administrator (CA) participates as a member of the proposal preparation team assuming the responsibility of preparing non-disclosure agreements and teaming agreements, reviewing the RFP terms and conditions, and preparing the contract risk memo for management review. The CA identifies elements of risk and onerous terms and provides recommended mitigation strategies.

Working in conjunction with the Program Manager, the CA assumes responsibility for negotiating terms and conditions related to the proposed contract. For example, the individual identifies an onerous term and then recommends a mitigation strategy which could include drafting new language to propose to the client. The CA works with the client (Contracting Officer or Buyer) to resolve the matter.

Once awarded, based on knowledge of government regulations (i.e. FAR/DFARS), the CA will ensure that appropriate regulations are flowed down to procurement personnel for incorporation into subcontracts; he/she monitors the provisions of assigned contracts to ensure that contract requirements are met. As issues arise under a contract, the CA collaborates with colleagues across organizational lines (i.e. Project Control, Risk Management, Procurement, Finance) to provide a recommended solution to the Program Manager.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of recent/relevant experience, minimum.
