Quality Inspector

Responsibilities:

The QA Inspector is accountable for final inspections & release of Instrument finished products. Tasks includes understanding of the written policies, procedures & processes and completing all training requirements, determining the appropriate inspection methodology performing a thorough documentation & visual verification, ensuring the accuracy of recorded results, ensuring completeness of inspection records, etc. The QA inspector performs all activities with extreme care. The daily tasks performed by this position are critical to the assurance of quality produced product. Works effectively in a team environment and emphasized healthy customer relations. Responsible for ensuring that procedures & processes are followed. Performs finished product's final inspections through visual or if needed using appropriate measuring tools. Conducts a thorough documentation (DHR) review, ensuring that all information recorded on manufacturing records are complete and meets the requirement of Good Documentation Practices Clearly and accurately records the result of inspection on appropriate inspection forms or electronically. Writes Nonconforming Material Report/QN. Communicates issues verbally and in writing to responsible engineers. Prioritizes/coordinates daily workload assignments to ensure timely completion. Processes requests for Quality Certificates Ensures that DHR records are organized accordingly for proper archiving. Supports internal/external audits when needed Supports and contributes to the attainment of the department/business goals. Interacts effectively with peers and internal and external customers - Engineers, Purchasing, Supplier, Planners, Manufacturing Associates, etc. Adheres to clients San Jose's Quality System requirements. This includes the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Departmental Procedures, and Work Instructions. Gathers & reports data for department metrics as needed Participates and contributes to continuous improvement activities. Monitors changes to applicable procedures and completes training in a timely manner. Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management. Follows client Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. •Experience in finished product release (final inspection) process. •Experience in documentation (DHR) review & understands Good Documentation Practices. •Writes Nonconforming Material Report •Good organizational and prioritization skills •Can handle multiple tasks •Must possess good problem solving skills •Must have a strong attention to detail & ability to follow procedures, and good oral and written communication skills. •Must be familiar with mathematical calculations •Computer literate •Adaptive, cooperative •Effective writing and communication skills •Experience working under GMP, or ISO 9001 environment •Works well in a team environment
