Detailed Job Description:
  • This role will be a laboratory-based position responsible for the design, execution and interpretation of experiments to support our lupus biomarker programs.
  • The ideal candidate will have - 10 years hands-on relevant laboratory experience.
  • Relevant experience includes the ability to design, execute and interpret experiments of impeccable quality with little supervision following appropriate compliance policies.
  • The ideal skill set includes expertise utilizing in vitro cell-based assays and handling and profiling human serum, whole blood, and tissues for protein and nucleic acid biomarkers as appropriate.
  • PBMC isolation and aseptic cell culture experience are required and strong expertise in molecular biology techniques including RNA isolation and qPCR methodologies is essential.
  • A good understanding on how to analyze and display gene expression data is preferable.
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with extensive flow cytometry experience, specifically with expertise running the Canto and LSR instruments and familiarity with Diva 8 software, and/or assay development experience in immunology
  • Although this position is not operating under GLP setting, some understanding of this environment would be preferred
  • The candidate will be asked to present data during team meetings so good communication skills are a plus.
  • The successful candidate will exhibit great teaming skills and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Other required competencies include: fluency in written and spoken English; working knowledge of the use of Microsoft suite of software products including Excel, Word, and Power Point; working knowledge of the use of GraphPad Prism software, and proficiency in statistical analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work is essential.
