R/I Inspection Coordinator

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Major purpose: Position ensures process flow through Receiving Inspection department. Stages material based on
the MAF-147 report and the RI communication list and communication from internal customers.
Prints Detail Inspection Plan (DIP) cover sheet and drawings and then kits all the gages and charts
required to inspect each part. Manages all calibrated gaging and equipment for the department
including control status and calibration. Inspects and ensures the part number, revision,
manufacturer part number, and ROHS are established with waiting material before allowing the
material is allowed to be processed. Participates in the development or revision of RI department
operating procedures. Communicate efficiently with internal customers and departments when
problems arise.

Print Detail Inspection Plan (DIP) cover sheet and drawings. Prepare and stage of inspection kit for
inspectors. Verify the DIP is to the proper part number revision and is populated with the proper
For electronic components, verify that the manufacturer's part number on the receiver matches the
drawing and the label on the material. If there is a discrepancy, manage the PQE/CE sign off
procedure. Verify proper termination finish and label components accordingly. Determine if
components are moisture sensitive and apply MSL exposure label when required.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that is cooperative
and supportive of customers, co-workers and managers.
Communicate with all areas of the organization when required.
Monitor Receiving Inspection backlog on a daily basis. Set inspection priority using the MAF-147
report and the RI communication spreadsheet.
Perform comprehensive data entry into computer systems. Ensure that all inspection activity is
properly documented in each inspection using the information only text field in each DIP.
Act as official trainer for the applicable software modules used in the R&I department.
Maintain proper gage calibration and participate in gage recall as needed.
Effectively interface with cross-functional departments

Previous Experience
Alpha-numeric filing, computer experience with Microsoft Windows, manufacturing environment MRP
software, and quality system software. Familiarity with blueprint reading, ISO 900 and AS9100
standards, supplier certification review, inspection methodology, inspection gaging, and proper
documentation procedures a plus.
