Responsibilities:
Summary The Senior Program Manager works with executive and director level business leaders to understand the strategic objectives for major business change initiatives and define the tactical projects to realize these objectives. The Senior Program Manager leads the projects through building effective relationships with business leaders, project team, and project stakeholders. The Senior Program Manager drives the delivery of the projects/program through advanced program/project management techniques and methodologies. The Senior Program Manager balances the demands of multiple large Global programs ($10M +). Responsibilities The program manager is responsible for providing project and program management services for various types of initiatives and departments across Client to include Global Human Resources projects in Mergers and Acquisitions, Onboarding, and related Human Resources areas. The candidate must be able to work with our internal customers to manage and take multiple projects and programs from project initiation through project close out and lessons learned. This includes: establishing and controlling scope, creating and managing project schedules in MS Project, generate scorecards showing progress against plan, plan and control project budgets, create and present management reports to update senior leadership on schedule, budget, and deliverable status, procurement management, communication planning and execution, project integration management, time management, issue/risk management, program quality management, etc. The individual is responsible for adhering to our established standards for project and program planning, execution and close out. This position will be responsible for maintaining all active programs and project plans in MS Project (or other similar PPM software) and responsible for helping Client associates to learn and adopt both the standard project process and project technologies. This role will report into the Director, EPMO Americas & Corporate Functions. A key part of this role will be to manage various global Mergers and Acquisitions, Onboarding, and related Human Resources projects, taking a lead role in planning, coordinating and facilitating projects from project initiation through completion. Specific responsibilities include: • Partners with project sponsors and stakeholder to define program/project objectives and business case. • Leads full life cycle project delivery for multiple medium/large project or larger programs. • Takes ownership for delivering program/project objectives and deliverables. Drives project execution to meet project schedule, cost and quality requirements. • Manages internal and external customer relationships to realize high customer satisfaction for their program and projects. • Implements company and industry best practice program/project methodology for delivering their programs and projects. • Supports EPMO management in refining program/project management practices and implementing them throughout the PMO. • Mentors project managers and project coordinators in project management best practices. • Manages medium/large project or larger programs consisting of multiple active projects from project definition through program governance, monitoring and close out. This includes identifying and aligning resources on integration points. • Provide guidance and support to business partners engaged with projects to ensure business partners are engaged with projects to ensure best practices and project methodologies are followed. • Perform resource management including forecasting resource requirements. • Create and maintain collaboration environments using SharePoint or similar software. • Aid business units and functional groups in the creation of mitigation plans. • Facilitate business case development and track project execution performance against business case expectations. • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization including managing through cross-business area or business unit prioritization processes. • Facilitate integration meetings to drive resolution to program issues and risks. Skilled in establishing detailed scope, schedule and budget using standard project tools (MS Project/SharePoint/etc.). • Experienced establishing Stakeholder management plans, Risk/issue management plans, Vendor management plans and Quality plans. • Experienced establishing and following controls to manage scope change and reporting project schedule/budget performance. • Proactive in surfacing risks and issues. Ability to engage project team and stakeholder community to resolve issues and define risk mitigations. Effective in developing clear problem statements and resolution options for escalation to project sponsors and management. • Clear understanding of the processes to define and validate acceptance criteria for the project to ensure project completion acceptance. • Mastery skills in understanding the business, being agile and applying expertise in communication and working with diverse groups of people and skill sets. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Project or Project Server, MS Visio and SharePoint. • Experience working in mid/large complex and diverse environments. • Ability to work in Franklin Lakes with ability to speak & write fluent English. • Demonstrated ability to understand complex, multi-project environments and be able to quickly diagnose potential risks and issues.
