Qualcomm's Open Source Portal works with internal and external groups to manage their use of open source and third party software. The Portal team is a multi-disciplinary team with a variety of experience and skills. Your responsibility will be to support the applications and systems that Qualcomm depends on for our software licensing compliance and IP protection. Your primary task will be to manage our operational activities. To achieve this, you will: Manage the ticketing queue including triage and assignment of support tasks across our development and operational teams. Interface directly with end-users and stakeholders to resolve problems, provide information to the internal team and ensure follow through with customers. Provide direct user support to our compliance and legal teams for UI issues or questions. Partner with IT/release engineering teams to investigate issues in SCM environments. Communicate with users on releases and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Gather and prepare metrics reports, such as metrics on development sprints or project-specific metadata. Draft and provide summary on business achievements for monthly and/or quarterly reports. Review backlogged features/issues/support tickets and resolve based on business process/procedures. You will be expected to communicate via telephone, email, IM and web-based applications across the globe to ensure the resolution of issues, and document progress and conversations along the way. You will be required to learn and understand the workflows and process in place for Qualcomm scanning and compliance review work in order to effectively support the internal and external teams. Depending upon experience your tasks may also include administration and scripting activities in a linux environment, using SQL to review data to troubleshoot application issues and write SQL queries to mine data from the database either for troubleshooting, for generating metrics or for building custom reports.
5+ years experience in an operational, support or project administration role in a highly technical organisation. 3+ years experience in the following areas: Ticketing systems such as Bugzilla, Redmine, Jira. Supporting or developing a product with a tiered web application architecture. 1+ years experience with software version control systems such as Git, Subversion or Perforce.
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science or equivalent experience
