IT Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Overall accountability for the planning and successful execution of IT projects.
  • Specific responsibilities include: resource and project planning, allocation oversight, project execution, financial reporting, and leading technology change initiatives.
  • The candidate will have experience implementing effective process/technology change, supporting interdependent projects, and driving results through innovation in complex large IT enterprise environments.

Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally supporting a large-scale enterprise environment to ensure successful completion of programs and projects.
  • Interact with a matrixed team of project managers, business process analysts, systems analysts, developers, application and database administrators, and infrastructure technologists and provide regular reporting to senior management and project management teams.
  • Plan and manage multiple simultaneous initiatives
  • Work with matrixed teams to define project scope and objectives, develop resource plan and project schedule.
  • Execute project plan. Track budget.
  • Maintain, adjust, and communicates program and project schedule updates as needed to the project management team accurately and on time.
  • Define and manage project risks and issues, delegate and escalate as required to resolve conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years direct experience managing application development & multiple technology projects using a software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology and project management best practices (on time, within budget).
  • Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including the capability to gain an understanding of overall project inter-dependencies, focus and direction.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities including the ability to create and maintain project schedules and plans, the ability to mentor and motivate project teams, and the ability to bring structure into a fast-paced innovative environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to engage multi-faceted, multi-disciplined teams for project management.
  • Background in leading technology change initiatives to align IT systems and operations with business objectives.
  • Strong background in using project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Sharepoint. Proven track record of managing projects with different delivery methods (Agile/Waterfall).

Education:
  • Bachelor's, Business Administration or equivalent experience
