 Primary Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot electrical control systems, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general industrial control equipment. Identify and perform machine preventative maintenance and repairs based on machine operation and condition. Must also be able to identify equipment requiring periodic maintenance and help develop and maintain scheduling for maintenance intervals.
Interact with production and operations associates to determine machine issues and resolution action plans. Set priorities base on production needs.
Account for and record parts and supplies used for repairs of equipment and plant utilities. Develop BOMs for electrical jobs performed in the plant.
Involvment in determining spare parts stock levels and part types and be involved in developing a standard parts scheme for the plant.  Will also have involvement in creating and maintaining plant electrical system documentation.  Will help keep plant electrical test equipment in proper working condition and will build new electrical control equipment as well as modify existing equipment as needed.
Keep abreast of new electrical control technologies and be available for off-shift technical support to production lines.  Will develop and conduct technical training for other plant associates and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by your supervisor. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate to advanced skill & experience in programming Rockwell Automation PLCs/PACs including ControlLogix Micrologix, SLC 500, PLC 5, etc.  Familiar with human machine interface (HMI) equipment from Rockwell Automation, including Panelview, Panelview Plus, Factorytalk View, Inview Message Displays, etc.
Familiar with Rockwell Automation and idnustry standard industrial networking technologies and communication protocols including Ethernet and Ethernet I/P, Data Highway Plus, Remote IO, DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH-485, DF1 Serial, etc.
Intermediate understanding of Rockwell Automation Industrial Drives and Servo Motion Systems including Servo 1394, Kinetix 6000, Powerflex, ControlLogix Integrated Motion programming, SERCOS, SYNCHLINK, AXISLINK, etc.
Familiar with standard variable speed AC & DC motor drive systems and control systems. Experienced working with programming and configuration softward of various types for Rockwell Automation control systems, including RSLogix (5,500, 5000), Panelbuilder, Factorytalk View ME, RSLinx, RSNetworx, GML Commander.
Experience with Temperature Control Systems, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance. Read, develop and interpret technical documents and drawings (operating/maintenance instructions, electrical drawings and schematics, programs, procedure manuals.)
Fill out routine reports and communicate effectively and make electrical print updates and corrections, submit for approval and engineering updates.
Understand and apply Engineering principles as it applies to electical control disciplines. Perform and manage small to medium plant electrical projects and work orders. Possess the ability to efficiently install electrical control equipment and plant auxilliary equipment, running conduit, protection equipment, wiring, etc.
Utilize common sense to understand and carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. Give proper feedback as to when instructions are not clear. Operate, utilize and maintain a personal computer for electrical troubleshooting, programming, configuring, and general maintenance of electrical control equipment.
Must be able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills and follow plant electical safety procedures. Must understand and follow NEC/NFPA 70, 70E, and 79 as well as OSHA code regulations as it pertains to the plant facility and equipment.  Must use safety harness for fall protection.

Education, Training & Experience:
Minimum of an Associates Degree in Electrical Field or related technologies preferred. Training in an electrical discipline. A minimum of 3 years experience in electrical/industrial controls. 

Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, use hands to handle objects and tools, or controls and be able to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/or move lift up to 25 pounds and ocassionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must have close, distance, color and peripheral vision ablities along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
