Job Summary
  • Performs assembly and packaging of various kits (frames, mat board, and photo storage).
  • Assist CAD/Mat Machine Operator with board packaging, mat hinging and custom projects.
  • Assist Shipping Associates when needed with picking and packing of orders.
  • Receives, labels and puts away incoming product inventory.
  • Full Time Position (7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday), 40 hours per week
 
General Accountabilities
  • Wraps and packages loose mat board/interleaving paper for orders and inventory.
  • Responsible for keeping board inventory (packaged & bulk pallets) organized and labeled.
  • Repackages bulk packages of items to smaller "sold as" quantities with correct labels.
  • Repackages returns, seconds, etc. for inventory - noting normal stock or second on adjustment sheets.
  • Maintains daily inventory sheets/records of assembled kits and packages.
  • Uses LabelView Software for printing of product labels.
  • Communicates with Mat Cutter, Shipping Associates and Warehouse Manager to make sure all processes followed correctly.
Initialing all completed processes' paperwork at time of competition.
  • Maintains work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner and assures proper functioning of warehouse.
  • Reports and repairs any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager as they occur.
  • Completes general warehouse duties as requested by CAD / Mat Machine Operator and/or Warehouse Manager.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety procedures.

  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year of related experience

Skills
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Skills: Oral communication, math aptitude, reading, visual organization, written communication, organization and professionalism.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
