SUMMARY

Tends fabricating machines such as shears, roll formers, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, punch presses and welders, that cut, shape, bend and weld metal sheets, and structures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
Pushes button or depresses petal to activate machine.
Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece.
Assist machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack and transport finished workpieces.
Rivet and spot weld pans to band iron.
Butt welding and splice welding pans and banding together.
Polishes and manipulates workpiece against abrasive wheel or portable wheel to remove metal and surface defects and then examines part for acceptability of finish.
Place pan on conveyer for washing and glazing.
Prepare pallets for shipment
