Nesco Resource is searching for an entry level Paint Technician to work 2nd shift (4:00pm – 3:30am) for an automotive supplier in the Wixom area.
Role and Responsibilities: Entry level technician in the paint department. An employee at this level must have experience will hand spraying and/or paint mixing unless waived by the supervisor. At this skill level an employee will perform the basic tasks required by the position, with supervisor form Paint Tech A or B. They will also assist higher level techs with more complicated tasks as part of the level C training. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
  • Basic robot operation: purges, color changes, ration changes, and maintenance.
  • Identification of paint defects
  • 2K proportioner operation: purges, color changes, ratio changes, and maintenance.
  • Hand spray and paint mix training (if needed).
  • End of week maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Promotion to Paint Tech B level must be accomplished by obtaining a passing score, on the Paint Tech Level C skills test and the Paint Mixer skills test, within 24 months of employment as a Level C Paint Tech.
Skill and Education requirements:
  • Prior experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence and procedures.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
