Nesco Resource is seeking a Billing Specialist for a large, reputable employer in the Capital District! This position will start immediately and will start out as a temporary position for about 4-6 months; there is some potential for a permanent position in the future.
The Billing Specialist will handle complete processing of invoices to customers including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Accessing list of all shipments to be billed from inquiries into ERP system
  • Processing invoices by day of shipment in system and reviewing invoice to ensure it is correct
  • Reconciling sales invoices each day to postings to the general ledger revenue accounts; resolving any differences immediately before invoicing the next day
  • Reviewing propriety of all requests for sales credit and allowances; ensuring proper approval for all credits / allowances
  • Processing all credits / allowances in ERP system
  • Processing electronic billing for specific customers when needed
  • Processing toll invoices
  • Process cash receipts on a daily basis
  • Auditing A/P invoices
  • Ensuring invoices are properly approved
  • Processing communications invoices, vendor invoices from payroll & benefits
  • Assisting with the filing of all vendor invoices
  • Maintaining and ordering supplies for the accounting department
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting and a minimum of one year prior billing and accounts payable experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Financial analysis skills a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and manage projects
  • Attention-to-detail
