EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER – C/C++, Linux

Become a subject matter expert for a mission-critical application running on multiple embedded environments including Linux, OS-9, and Windows. You will be part of a team focused on:
  • Creating, debugging and supporting embedded software for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) products.
  • Performing all aspects of development including embedded system design, data communications, real-time data collection, processing and control, interfacing drivers and peripherals.
  • Ensuring functional integrity and proper operation of all assigned systems.

Skills and Qualifications include:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field from an accredited college.
  • At least 4 years of professional development experience in a team environment.
  • Application development for Linux-based embedded systems.
  • High proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
  • Knowledge of serial, network and USB communications.
  • Accomplished debugger and problem solver.
  • Solid experience with test/validation, automated software builds, change management, version control, technical support, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Agile development principles.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.

  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving/analytical skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills – Will be required to work closely within a team and collaborate with other teams.
