We are now hiring 1st shift Machine Operators in Taunton, MA
Hours ~ Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

The Machine Operator is responsible for producing the product according to specifications from the cup drop until the metal detector. The line operator helps us deliver competitive advantage by making sure that the product is produced correctly the first time by ensuring that all requirements are met with respect to food safety, quality, safety, and cost.

  • Maintain a clean machine and work area
  • Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures
  • Follow all GMP's and General Food Safety Requirements
  • Follow all food Defense Procedures
  • Check seal integrity of the package
  • Post visual standards and maintaining visual standards
  • Monitor weight and adjusting weight according to Net Content Procedures
  • Load Lids
  • Load Film and maintaining records of applicable lots
  • Load spices and maintaining records of applicable lots
  • Monitor and recording all stoppages on the line
  • Follow other duties as required
  • Monitor Metal Detection and maintaining applicable records

  • Ability to work overtime when necessary including weekend work
  • Ability to fill out paperwork completely in a timely manner
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate understanding and ability to adjust stations, drivers, and parameters to produce and maintain product to specification
  • Demonstrate ability to perform change-over of size of product
  • Demonstrate ability to understand common machine faults and correct
  • Demonstrate ability to clean and restart machine after jam
  • Demonstrate understanding of importance of safety and quality procedures and programs
  • Solid communication skills to interface regularly with production, maintenance, quality, safety, IP

Quality and Safety Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Apply and enforce all quality & safety programs in accordance with regulatory requirements, FSSC 22000 standard, customers' requirements.
  • Take necessary measures when there is deviation from policies and standards.
  • Participate and recommend solutions to common quality & food safety issues.
  • Take action to continuously improve his/her process targets.
  • Adhere/ follow the food safety programs in the department including GMPs, HACCP plan, and PRPs.
  • Properly carry out the OPRP metal detector monitoring (For Operators on lines 79/PA3/PA4/PA5)
