The Lab Manager is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the activities of four laboratories; including, but not limited to safety, quality, delivery, productivity and continuous improvement. Oversees the performance of standard biological, microbiological and chemical tests and production in all areas of laboratory to assure their delivery in an accurate and timely fashion, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Qualified Candidates Will Have: 
• 7-10 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a laboratory operation, regulated environment. ¿B.S. in Biology, Micro-biology or a related field.
• Strong project management and analytical skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including scientific documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including team building, employee development and coaching.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Some travel required.

Day to Day Responsibilities 
• Manage multiple laboratory operations by directing and coordinating all activities consistent with goals, objectives and policies.
• Integrate policies and good laboratory practices across all sites and locations
• Maintain compliance to applicable ISO standards, FDA regulations, and all other regulations deemed required by the business
• Create and monitor each laboratory's performance levels using quantitative measurement methodology
• Drive quality of delivered products and services. Assist in the formulation and ensure implementation of policies, procedures and programs.
• Test new and improved laboratory methods and procedures. Prepare laboratory notes, charts and graphs and write up results of examinations. • Review production schedules, materials and workforce resources.
• Supervise purchase of supplies and maintain equipment inventory
• Ensure that safety and environmental programs are in place and managed effectively.
• Participate in recruiting, retaining and developing top talent. Develop and lead staff by active coaching, training, and general employee performance management while cultivating a collaborative team culture, creative problem solving and results driven operation.
