JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires High School education or equivalent. Requires Industrial Electrician Certificate or equivalent education and work experience. Must have a minimum of four years' experience in industrial maintenance. Must have a working knowledge of PLC ladder logic and Allen Bradley micro logic/control logic control systems. Basic welding and machining is required. The position will require the ability to maintain, trouble shoot, inspect and repair plant equipment and systems. Requires a working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must obtain a forklift license and pass a physical.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsibility:
  • Perform daily job assignments as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to departments requiring maintenance needs or assistance.
  • Also provide assistance to Manufacturing Engineers and Quality as it relates to fixtures and gages that are used in the manufacture of assemblies or products.
  • Complies with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System requirements.
  • Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely, follows all company policies and reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Company Employee Charter and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Maintain daily inspections and reports on relevant equipment.
  • Maintain documentation for maintenance equipment and systems.
  • Preform other duties assigned by the maintenance supervisor.

Authority: Direct accountability for the maintenance of the manufacturing plant, including machine, tools and all equipment necessary for the daily operations.


COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Reading, writing and ability to verbally communicate in person as well as on the telephone is a necessity.

BEHAVIOR STANDARDS: Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

HOURS OF WORK: As assigned to meet the maintenance needs of the plant.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to interface with all departments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; bend; crouch; use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk and hear. The job occasionally requires the lifting and/or moving of heavy equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
