Nesco Resource is seeking a Mechanical Designer to work on Process Simulators for their client in Southfield, MI.
Main areas of responsibilities are:
    Development of process & layout concepts
    Manage Industrial processes & Robotic application automation projects as assigned
    Define Process as per product geometry
    Feasibility study and process engineering
    o        Define in collaboration with System Engineer the assembly sequence and verify feasibility
    o        Define the Robotics and Human operation in the 3D environment
    Equipment selection (robots, conveyors, tool, etc.)
    Tool validation to check feasibility
    Develop 3D layout for the robotic simulation
    Preparing 3D models using CAD softwares
    Develop kinematics of 3D models
    Joinery study/feasibility
    Weld/Joint distribution, gun selection, gun sectioning
    Technology process path distribution (sealing, arc weld, )
    Workout different option and Layout
    Cycle time estimation
    Validation of processes in work cells / stations
   o       Simulate Robot moves to verify cycle time, reachability and feasibility
   o       Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic regulations
    Throughput analysis
    Cycle time chart development
    Variants analysis
    Preliminary development of robot OLPs to verify reachability of all process and service position
    Interacting with stakeholder (Customers, System Engineer, project team) to get project input details
    Development according to customer prescribed documentation and specification
    Reviews with Customer
    Design review with System Engineer and project team
    Development of technical documentation for the projects executed
    Knowledge Sharing and documentation
    Support System Standard department for the standardization of common processes and automation solutions

    Feasibility study

    Exposure to Robotics Automation, Automotive Industry, General Industry
    Basics of Robot application
    Safety standards
   o       Knowledge of Microsoft Office tool (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, ) or equivalent tool for word processing, calculation, presentation
   o       Experience in at least one of the major 2D Cad tool (Autocad, others)
    Experience in at least one of the major 3D Modeling tool (CATIA, NX, Solidworks, others) and the ability to quickly self-learn any of the remaining
    Experience in at least one of the major 3D Simulation tool (Delmia, Robcad, Process Simulate, NX, others) and the ability to quickly self-learn any of the remaining.
Proficient with at least one of major product/brand (ABB, Kuka, Fanuc, Motoman, Kawasaki, other).
   o       May be required to retrieve backups from production robots and extract relevant information or upload programs to simulation tools with minimal support. May be required to develop OLP programs from simulations and ensure that they work in actual robots with minimal support.
    Hands on experience processing for at least one of the Automation technology process
(Spot Welding, Arc Welding, Sealer/Dispense, Riveting, Palletization, Robotic Material, Handling, Paint, )
    Ability to create well-written, concise technical reports discussing project results as well as create professional documents/videos from simulations that illustrate concepts.
1.) Importing CAD data from Catia, Fides and UG with correct procedure(for example, data reduction)
2.) Importing Layouts 
3.) Adding Kinematics to a Device/ tool/gun with correct speed and other setting
4.) Gather and implement correct process info to sim cell
5.) Project weld/bead and set correct weld time/wait time
6.) Programming Robot paths with customer required spec/attributes
7.) Upload is required if it is kitted job
8.) Collision free cell is basic requirement
9.) RCS needs to connected for every robots
10.) Sim cell equipment position needs to be exported to layout and layout info needs to verified.
11.) Running Swept Volumes for Robot per Customer requirement
12.) Whole sim cell cycle time needs to be verified with RCS and correct tooling / control sequence Need to Set SOP for RobCAD.
13.) Creating Robot Related Docs Per Customer requirement 
14.) Downloading Offline Programming in native Robot language
