  • This Technical Operations Analyst, Sr. will focus on production and non-production technology systems. Automate building systems and deploying applications. Create additional automation by scripting repetitive tasks. Hands-on Windows Systems Administration and Java application support experience. Must have solid understanding of DevOps and fundamental Cloud technology.
  • Rotating on-call, project participation, and business continuity support for the Web Portal and Web Services (API) applications. Script alerts to monitor production systems, respond to and troubleshoot escalated incidents. Must have excellent communication skills, as we periodically interface with clients, vendor and business partners. Familiarity with Linux/Unix a plus.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Windows Systems and Java development support with experience troubleshooting of production applications within non-production and production multi-tier environments
  • 24x7 oncall support of applications on a rotating basis, and participate in resolution of escalated incidents
  • Create application monitoring scripts and automate alerts that can inform of problems in logs files
  • Recommend performance and infrastructure capacity improvements
  • Point of escalation accountable for diagnosing and resolving customer impacting issues
  • Review turnover artifacts to ensure completion prior to executing production installs
  • Participate in assigned projects representing the support organization, communicate status, issues and delivery risks
  • Work with Change Management/ Release Managers on the evaluation of change events and in planning work items for production deployment
  • Perform code installations or fallbacks working with release management. Document install defects and assign severity to the problem that occurs and work with various teams to determine root cause
  • Perform trending and analysis of problems; develop risk mitigation plans for continuous improvement
  • Ensure monitoring alerts and system events are risk assessed, prioritized, and worked aggressively
  • Maintain and/or create technical support documentation

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of IT experience in a technical production support role with background in Windows Systems Administration and/or Windows development using Java, JBOSS,Python or a OO language
  • Hands-on knowledge of writing SQL for Oracle or SQLServer
  • Solid experience scripting in Linux Shell scripting
  • Microsoft AD & ADFS
  • Microsoft Desktop Services
  • Microsoft Virtual Services
  • Experience developing solutions using automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, System Center
  • Experienced in Agile and DevOps environments and cultures
  • Working experience with Amazon AWS or Pivotal Private Cloud
  • Certifications: Knowledge of ITIL production support best practices
