Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist must be able to use initiative and independent judgment. This position requires knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures and familiarity with materials, products and commodities in an area of specialization. This position requires the ability to prepare and analyze technical specifications and bids, good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. This position requires proficiency in the use of database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software tools, including the ability to produce reports, documents and presentations. The Supply Chain Specialist must also perform regular counts to identify possible discrepancies in inventory quantities and reconcile discovered variances according to the approved policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
· Maintain a positive and professional attitude that enhances the success of the company
· Ensure that documented IATF/ISO quality system is followed relating to all Purchasing functions
· Create purchase orders from approved purchase requisitions for other areas throughout the company
· Resolve any price discrepancy issues on invoices for account
· Set up new suppliers through New vendor set up process
· Create purchase orders from approved project requests
· Run "overdue” receipts to make sure items are being received in a timely manner
· Maintain/Order office supplies; toner, paper,.etc.
· Perform daily/weekly cycle counts and make necessary adjustments to inventory through Oracle on FG, Resin, Colorants, Components.
· Communicate any and all inventory discrepancies to the Manager responsible for the area that the discrepancy was found
· Aid in resolution and report discrepancies to upper Management
· Utilize excel reports to report on inventory discrepancies, issues, etc
· Work with inventory team on physical inventories throughout the year
Education:
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
Experience/Skills:
  • Must be able to work overtime as required with proper notification
  • Ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management;
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills plus the ability to think laterally while also offering creative solutions;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Positive attitude to continued learning.
  • Able to analyze a potential problem and development a solution
Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a consistent basis
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work overtime as required with proper notification
