We are looking for a Senior Applications programmer for our New Accounts and Authorizations teams. Auth team supports both Authorization and our fraud systems. New Accounts team supports New Accounts (SNAP), Credit card issuance, credit bureau reporting, batch appends and letter systems. 
  
Our Sr. Mainframe Programmer / Analyst supports the project life cycle for applications or systems, including providing estimates on the establishment and implementations of new or revised applications systems and programs. Reviews customer requirements.  Produces coding specifications and designs, with assistance. Converts designs and specifications into computer code.  Creates and executes test plans to verify programming and confirms programs meet specifications. 
  
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Completes the project life cycle for applications or systems, including providing estimates on the establishment and implementations of new or revised applications systems and programs. 
  • Reviews customer requirements to gain understanding of application or system.   
  • Produces design documents and program specifications with minimal assistance.  
  • Codes application programs based on designs and specifications to meet business requirements and coding standards.  
  • Analyzes code to find causes of errors and implements solutions.   
  • Creates and executes unit test plans to verify own code and confirm programs meet specifications.  
  • Verifies program functionality by comparing actual to expected results.  
  • Verifies implementation and ensures changes are monitored. 
  • Ability to analyze Interfaces between applications and operating teams to complete problem analysis.  
  • Provides technical on-call 24x7 support when assigned.  
Preferred Education/Certifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, or a related field  
Preferred Work Experience: 
  • Over 6 years’ recent experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting system applications, including four years’ experience programming with COBOL.  
Requirements:
  • Recent experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2 and CICS webservices.

  • Credit card or Financial industry experience 
  • Portal experience 
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standard, code reviews, source code management, build process, testing, and operations 
  • Knowledge about FICO fraud products
