Goodyear Warehouse is looking to hire a Quality Technician. The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or present measuring instruments under immediate supervision. This role ensures the company is able to meet quality, safety and efficiency standards and satisfy customer requirements. Reports to Production Manager. Pay is $15/hour and is 2nd shift 5 pm - 4:30 am Monday thru Friday. Must be open to work occasional Saturday.
Major Responsibililties¿
  • Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System and The Companies Global Code of Conduct requirements.
  • Auditing and inspecting raw materials, component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes and paperwork including bar-coding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory list, and scanning of materials.
  • Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Adapting and/or calibrating equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to establish guidelines, typically under the guidance of an outside vendor.
Required Skills, Experience, Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and intepret blue prints
  • Intermediate math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to read, speak, write and understand English
  • Basic time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate safe and effective utilization of all required equipment

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the workday
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Must be able to life and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
  • Must be able to climb and balance
  • Must be able to use hands to reach, handle and/or feel
  • Must have manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
  • Must be able to visually inspect products
  • Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment
  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
