Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Master Scheduler will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule for manufacturing, quality, engineering, Procurement operations, and Quality Assurance departments. The Integrated Master Schedule includes production work orders and new product introduction work orders. You will be responsible for establishing appropriate Work In Process and Finished Goods inventory levels to prevent outages and maintain continuous production flow. Experience with MRP/ERP systems and demonstrated project leadership. In addition to knowledge of product and manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules to ensure a controlled flow of materials are released to meet production requirements.
  • Notify management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Produce capacity plans and analysis to support business planning requirements.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reports to communicate master production schedule performance.
  • Develop capacity planning tools to determine if production will be constrained in future periods; level load the production plan, and identify potential corrective actions such as: working overtime, assessing equipment, outsourcing and/or expediting.
  • Update new product introduction project schedule bases on changes in the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Ensure the maximization of resources for the operation groups.
  • Level-load the production schedule, analyze resource capacity, and implement valid build schedules.
  • Integrate with production team to determine the needs and constraints of the manufacturing factory through engagement with functional groups, and schedule work orders accordingly.
