The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for meeting all production requirements and handling any personnel issues that occur for assigned departments. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the performance of all employees in order to meet operational goals including: cycle time reduction, productivity improvements, ACE/5S improvement, and cost out projects
  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance to oversee process controls in the area
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues within the work groups
  • Perform staffing coordination/flexing between production cells as needed
  • Set goals and fosters an environment of continuous improvement
  • Ensures a safe workplace supporting all EHS activities for the assigned departments
  • Establish and maintain strong communication lines between employee, Team Leaders, Supervisors and Staff
  • Enforce and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Manage continuous Improvement projects driving active participation on all levels (hourly and salary)
  • Maximize efficiency of workforce using individual development goals to meet and exceed to company goals and objectives.
  • Manage performance expectations by conducting regular 1:1 meetings with all direct reports to reinforce performance expectations and solicit employee feedback
  • Develop and execute a communication plan to keep team members engaged and ensure they have a clear understanding of departmental and organizational goals and objectives
  • Lead cross training efforts to ensure the team meets or exceeds production expectation

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Supervisory experience with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience leading hourly and salaried employees in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to motivate and inspire change amongst team members
  • Knowledge of computer based ERP system and production planning / scheduling along with strong PC skills including the use of Microsoft office suite
  • Experience with TPM, Preventative Maintenance practices
  • Experience with SPC, Statistical process control methodologies
  • Understanding of 8D or other Quality root Cause Analysis
  • Bachelors degree Required
