Nesco Resource is placing at 3rd Shift Multi-functional Mechanical Technician at our client located in Stratford, CT! In order to join there growing team, the right candidate will:
  • Comply with requesting corrective maintenance, ensuring appropriate conditions of operation of the equipment;
  • Report and fill in the documents (physical or electronic system) of the area, ensuring the history of the actions performed for further analysis and decision-making;
  • Analyze, identify and document the root cause of machine and device failures, proposing and executing corrective actions and improving them, avoiding recidivism;
  • Read drawings and technical specifications of machine parts;
  • Perform machining work, using machine tools, when necessary;
  • Comply with the procedures and instructions of the area, acting preventively against the risks of work accidents in order to ensure his health and co-workers;
  • Perform the switch shift, informing his co-workers from another shift but same role about the incidents machine, to ensure continuity of work without interruption;
  • Execute preventive/predictive maintenance programs, with or without contracted labor, according to defined schedules;
  • Accompany and analyze the specific indicators of his area giving suggestions and implementing actions that ensure the improvement, in order to foment the evolution overall efficiency of the machines of the factory floor.
  • Read and interpret high complexity circuits;
  • Set up high complexity circuits;
  • Performing repairs, modifications and adaptations in highly complex electronic circuits;
  • Performing assembly and maintenance on high complexity electrical and electronic panels;
  • Install electronic and industrial automation equipment;
  • Perform high complexity electrical welding;
  • Take care for the order and cleanliness of the industry after maintenance interventions;
  • Assist in building maintenance when necessary;
  • When necessary, will make the technical and operational management of a work team;;
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary improvement projects and KAIZEN;
  • Be multiplier of skills and technical knowledge in the maintenance area;
  • Make the management of a shift, supporting the operational need, overtime and staffing scheduling;
  • Answer for audit when necessary;
  • Update KPIs and account for Client processes;
  • Attend the enviromental emergencies;
  • To dispose of waste properly;
  • Use natural resources responsibly;
  • Ensure that the standards and procedures of the Quality and Sustainability Management System will be carried out;
  • Follow the Health and Safety Policies provided by the corporation;
  • To join in the Quality of Life programs offered by the company.
Required Knowledge:
  • Technician in Electronics, Mechanics, Electromechanics or Mechatronics;
  • Mechanical Engineering, Electronics / Electrical / and related;
  • Knowledge in the product line and its components (internal);
  • Knowledge in electro-electronics, electromechanical, hydropneumatic, mechanical and industrial automation (internal / external);
  • Knowledge in metrology (internal / external);
  • Advanced knowledge in PLC programming (internal or external);
  • Perform high complexity electrical welding (internal or external);
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical quantities (internal or external).
  • Advanced knowledge (Servo drives, Leak testers, vision systems
