Nesco Resource is currently seeking to place a Systems Administrator at one of our clients located in Litchfield County, Connecticut. As a Systems Administrator, the right person for the job will:
  • Respond and resolve help desk requests
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues users encounter
  • Develop, modify and support reports written in both Crystal Reports and Synergy SmartViews
  • Install and test computer-related equipment including networking, cabling, servers, desktops, laptops, mobile phones
  • Maintain existing systems infrastructure, while also looking forward to new technology applications in the manufacturing environment.
  • Upgrade systems, applications, and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Manage VMware environment including installation and maintenance of Virtual Machines
  • Windows Server deployment, configuration, updates
  • SQL Server Administration, performance monitoring, backups, maintenance
  • Create and verify backups of data
  • Monitor critical business systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
Required Skills/Experience
  • Server management, Desktop management, Network planning, and user support, etc.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong Troubleshooting / HelpDesk Experience
  • Windows domain administration experience
  • Network administration experience, both wired and wireless, Cisco preferred.
  • Reporting Development and Support (Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Extensive experience with VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server, HelpDesk, Backups, Networking
  • Citrix XenApp, Microsoft RemoteApp (RDS/RDWEB)
  • SharePoint knowledge a plus
  • Independent problem-solving skills, and an ongoing attitude of continuous improvement towards IT processes. Must be able to prioritize work based on company needs.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting and strong understanding of ERP systems preferred
