Major purpose:

Aftermarket Group in TSUS works to support the overall Aftermarket activities for Client. This is a new group formed with the new focus and approach for Aftermarket business and with responsibility for P&L of the business.
Resource identified required to work with the Aftermarket group on variety of new developments, upgrades and engineering problems in regards to FFS changes.
Immediate need is for a signed project with UPS which requires this skill set and to augment an experienced contractor who we have currently assigned to the project.
Major functions:

The primary function will be working on a variety of new developments, updates/upgrades with our Aftermarket group and solving engineering problems in regards to FFS changes. The expectation will be to take on Electrical Engineering and Design Authority roles in regards to the FFS changes that vary in complexity.
Technical Functional skills:

- Candidate must have knowledge of Avionics and/or Simulation. Individual will apply this knowledge to various products such as Flight Training Devices and/or Full Flight Simulators.
- Must be able to cope with whole systems engineering design and implementation from requirements and see through to completion in a timely matter.
- Capable of understanding basic manufacturing tasks and hardware testing and is able to generate Modification Installation Documentation.
- Experience of modern software packages (e.g. Computer Aided Design tools) currently used within Hardware Engineering or comparable, Mentor CHS would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in using databases to analyze and design system schematics.
- Must be able to produce new schematic design and wiring diagrams.
- Validation and verification of design implementation.
- Knowledge of power distribution within a system.
- Knowledge of digital and analog circuits/systems
- Knowledge of fiber optic cable design.
- Must be able to safely operate high voltages within the system.
- Ability to recognize and eliminate failures before they occur in the system.
- Good understanding of impact on Mechanical and Software systems.
- Capable of learning other Hardware Engineering Tools to support Mechanical and Tech Docs when required.
- Capable of providing manufacturing support
- Ability to work within a cross functional team.
- Able to work as sole owner of assigned task, or as part of a team.
- An individual with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- An individual with drive, enthusiasm and can do attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
