Nesco Resource is looking to fill a Customer Service/Administrative Assistant position in the Corning NY area. This position is a Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm for traininig and then will switch to either a 11:00 am-7:30 pm or 12:00-8:30 pm shift.


POSITION SUMMARY:
Communicate daily with customer to ensure all finished goods shipments are done to meet third party customer specifications. Communicate with trucking companies to plan accordingly for shipments. Remove inventory from company and customer data base in accordance with depletion procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Communicate with co-workers and direct supervision to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and outside vendors on a daily basis to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Must have aptitude to use and operate a computer including basic e-mail functions
  • Maintain a clean, work environment placing all items in an orderly manner per 5S values.
  • Operate within the documented QMS ( Quality Management System)
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Ability to write legibly for transcribing into computer software.
  • Coordinate finished goods shipment to meet customer demands
  • Use warehouse management system to accurately schedule inventory for shipments in FIFO (First In, First Out) order per customer requirements
  • Notify/Communicate with customers with any issues with shipment or scheduling
  • Follow all standard operating and rules of thumb procedures for shipments and depletions of customer inventory
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Training and Experience:
  • High School diploma or a GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Ability to write legibly for transcribing into computer software.
  • Maintain a clean, work environment placing all items in an orderly manner per 5S values.
  • Operate within the documented QMS ( Quality Management System)
  • Drug-free, able to pass a drug test.


Physical Demands: The employee is required to:
  • Sit at computer for more than 6 hours per day as needed
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.

Visual Acuity:
  • Accommodation required for reading written instructions, sketches, prints, and a computer screen.
Hearing Ability:
  • Ability to hear while taking and receiving phone calls as required from customers and/or vendors.
Working Conditions:
  • Normal office/production environment.
