Baan ERP System Analyst

Major purpose:
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES (LIST IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE)
  1. Responsible for providing daily operational support and maintenance of Infor Baan Enterprise Resource Planning applications used by employees.
  2. Provide regular maintenance, administration, monitoring of business applications and automated tasks.
  3. Work closely with the key business stakeholders and the user community to ensure proper functioning and maximum availability of ERP applications.
  4. Coordinate design reviews, facilitate discussions, confirm requirement and buy-in from functional users.
  5. Participate in planning, design, development, documentation, testing and implementation to support complex business systems.
  6. Independently work with users across all levels to identify root cause of issues, consultation & research, mitigation and ultimate resolution and sign-off.
  7. Continually monitor Baan application infrastructure to ensure maximum performance of Production, Development and Test environments.
  8. Responsible for translating a business case into a detailed technical design and solution.
  9. Design, Build, Test and Deploy business critical systems and reports as required by functional managers and key users.
  10. Perform with functional user in troubleshooting and resolving application issues including working with Vendor support on behalf of the functional user as necessary.
  11. Move approved systems and code changes to production environments.
  12. Regularly track issues / risks and communicate any concerns and status to the management.
  13. Ensure coordination and completion of assigned deliverable schedules on a timely manner.
  14. Lead in application, integration, migration and third party software testing, training & implementation projects.
  15. Participate in BCP efforts to ensure complete and comprehensive backup and recovery strategies are developed and instituted for all central databases and services. Continually monitor the backup process to ensure compliance, continuity, effectiveness and the general ability to recover completely from virtually any type of database and/or application related failure.
  16. Other duties as assigned by the management.

BACKGROUND: (EDUCATION, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in BaaN ERP systems administration, management, personalization & development.
  • Prior experience supporting Standard Cost and Job Cost in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong in 4GL, 3GL scripting and developing complex reports and additional functionalities.
  • Prior experience in Infor Warehouse Mobility Labor charging & Inventory Management Barcode system, Mobile scanners, barcode printers required.
  • Experience with Reporting development tools – SSRS preferred.
  • SQL Server database installation and administration experience.
  • Experience in supporting applications such as Propricer, SAGE Fixed Assets, SAP Ariba, SAP HRIS, SAP Successfactors, Check factory preferred.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: (MACHINERY, COMPUTERS/SOFTWARE, OFFICE EQUIPMENT)
  1. Solid problem solving, analytical background with investigative and project management skills.
  2. Strong desire for continuous improvement.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  4. Working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the business (i.e. Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Planning, Engineering, Warehousing, Quality Assurance, etc.).
  5. Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision.
